Vaccines are the best way to keep the industry open and you in work.

COVID-19 is a virus. It doesn’t discriminate and anyone can become seriously ill and in severe cases, lose their life.

There is no cure for COVID-19 but the best chance of slowing transmission and living a COVID normal life is through vaccination.

All Australians have access to free, safe and effective vaccines that will protect you, your loved ones and the wider community. Before you book in for your vaccine, check if you’re vaccine ready.

Based on advice from the peak immunisation body, the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisations (ATAGI), GPs, CVC and ACCHS administer three vaccines, Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Moderna. These vaccines are safe and effective. You can receive a vaccine from your doctor, attending a walk-in or community health care clinic.

Getting vaccinated is the key to getting back to a COVID normal and can help prevent you, your loved ones, and your work mates from getting sick.

If you want to check your eligibility and find doctors, pharmacies and vaccine clinics participating in the vaccine rollout, use the Department of Health’s Vaccine Eligibility Checker.

Alternatively, to find your closest vaccination centre, you c an visit the Health Direct website or use the Victorian Government’s online booking system.

If you have any questions about the COVID-19 vaccine, you should book into your local GP or associated medical professional and discuss your concerns directly.

When you check in at a venue or shop, you will be required to show proof that you are fully vaccinated, you can do this through downloading the Service Victoria app and the Express Plus Medicare app.

Your vaccination certificate should appear in your Medicare app after your second dose. Once your certificate appears in the app, press “add to check-in app” and select Services Victoria.

What if I don’t have access to the apps?
For those who don’t have a smartphone or access to the Services Australia app, you can request a hard copy of your vaccination statement by calling 1800 653 809.

If you have access to Medicare online, you can access your immunisation history through your MyGov account.

What if I have only had my first vaccination?

If you have only received your first dose, you can still show your immunisation history statement. You can access this through your MyGov account.

Vaccination is the most important tool to end the COVID-19 pandemic and keep the building, construction and developer sector open. Every Victorian has access to safe and free vaccinations.

If you have any questions, talk to your doctor.
